Sturm theorem for the generalized Frank matrix

نویسندگان

چکیده

One of the popular test matrices for eigenvalue routines is Frank matrix due to its well-conditioned and poorly conditioned eigenvalues. All eigenvalues are real, positive different. Sturm Theorem a very useful tool computing tridiagonal symmetric matrices. In this paper, we apply generalized which special form Hessenberg examine by using property. Moreover, illustrate our results with an example.

On a generalized Sturm theorem

Sturm oscillation theorem for second order differential equations was generalized to systems and higher order equations with positive leading coefficient by several authors. What we propose here is a Sturm theorem for indefinite systems with Dirichlet boundary conditions of the form p2m du dx + p2m−2(x) du dx + · · ·+ p1(x) du dx + p0(x)u = 0, where pi is a smooth path of matrices on the comple...

The Sturm-Tarski Theorem

We have formalised the Sturm-Tarski theorem (also referred as the Tarski theorem): Given polynomials p, q ∈ R[x], the Sturm-Tarski theorem computes the sum of the signs of q over the roots of p by calculating some remainder sequences. Note, the better-known Sturm theorem is an instance of the Sturm-Tarski theorem when q = 1. The proof follows the classic book by Basu et al. [1] and Cyril Cohen’...

GENERALIZED PRINCIPAL IDEAL THEOREM FOR MODULES

The Generalized Principal Ideal Theorem is one of the cornerstones of dimension theory for Noetherian rings. For an R-module M, we identify certain submodules of M that play a role analogous to that of prime ideals in the ring R. Using this definition, we extend the Generalized Principal Ideal Theorem to modules.

Sturm-Tarski Theorem

We have formalized the Sturm-Tarski theorem (also referred as the Tarski theorem): ∑ x∈(a,b),P (x)=0 sign(Q(x)) = Var(SRemS(P, P ′Q; a, b)) where a < b are elements of R ∪ {−∞,∞} that are not roots of P , with P,Q ∈ R[x]. Note, the usual Sturm theorem is an instance of the Sturm-Tarski theorem with Q = 1. The proof is based on [1] and Cyril Cohen’s work in Coq [2]. With the Sturm-Tarki theorem,...
